Defending Our Rights: The Impact of the Current Policies on Workers and Marginalized Communities

Monday, August 17 Room S-406A

Wednesday, August 19 Room S-406A

Union members have seen first-hand how executive orders, budget cuts, and attacks on collective bargaining under this administration have weakened worker protections and eroded public support systems. This workshop takes a hard look at how these policies have disproportionately harmed marginalized workers- especially women, immigrants, and people of color, and examines what that means for the labor movement's fight for justice. Together, we'll unpack the connections between policy, power, and workplace equity, while strategizing effective responses that strengthen worker solidarity across sectors. Participants will be equipped with insights and tools to defend hard-won labor rights and advance a vision of inclusive economic justice.
